I have a thing for peanut clusters, but the thought of melting the chocolate over the stove or in the microwave, only to have it thicken so quickly because it is chilly in the house frustrates me to no end.
Then I remembered this crockpot candy that I have spotted all over the internet. I know I have professed my love for simple recipes over the years, but I have to tell you this may be my kegemarane candy recipe ever. It doesn't get much easier and the taste is phenomenal.
I have been really loving my crockpots lately. Honestly, I only cook a few times a week and then we reheat our dinners the other days. I don't know how that happened, but I like it and it works for us. As of late, on the cooking days, you will find a slow cooker (or 3) on the counter.When I started thinking about candy making, the slow cooker was on my mind and this recipe immediately popped in my head. So I sent Chad to the store to grab a few things and I had candy in just a few short hours (start to finish while my daughter napped). Rich and chocolaty this recipe is so easy to make it will certainly become a family tradition.

Crockpot Candy
MAKES 144 (1 Tbsp) Candies | ACTIVE TIME 30 Min | TOTAL TIME 2 Hours 30 Minutes
34.5 ounces honey roasted dry roasted peanuts (I used planters)
32 ounces vanilla almond bark
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
4 ounces Baker's German chocolate bar
optional garnish: sprinkles or crushed candy canes
Layer ingredients into crockpot (I used a 5 quart), starting with the peanuts. Cover. Cook for 1 hour on low temperature. Do not stir. After 1 hour stir mixture and continue to cook, stirring every 15-20 minutes for another hour (a total of 2 hours).
Meanwhile line countertop or table with a long piece of parchment paper.
Turn off crockpot. Use a 1 tablespoon scooper to scoop out candy from crockpot and onto parchment paper. Make sure candy is not touching. Top with kegemarane garnish.
Allow to cool completely.
Serve and enjoy!

- 32 ounces almond bark (vanilla flavored)
- 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
- 4 ounces German chocolate kafe (by Baker's)
- optional garnish: sprinkles or crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Layer ingredients into crock pot (I used a 5 quart), cover.
- Cook for 1 hour on low temperature. Do not stir.
- After 1-hour stir mixture and continue to cook, stirring every 15-20 minutes for another hour (a total of 2 hours).
- Meanwhile line counter top or table with a long piece of parchment paper.
- Turn off crock pot. Use a 1 tablespoon scooper to scoop out candy from crock pot and onto parchment paper. Make sure candy is not touching. Top with kegemarane garnish.
- Allow to cool completely.
Cook time: 2 hrs
Total time: 2 hrs. 30 mins.
